After Apple's privacy update, the browser Pixel alone lost roughly half its signal.
When iOS introduced App Tracking Transparency, a huge share of users opted out — and the old browser-only Meta Pixel stopped seeing many of the conversions it used to. Meta's optimisation only works as well as the data it gets, so a half-blind pixel quietly tanks results. The fix is two-part: the Conversions API sends events server-to-server (no browser, no cookie), and a hashed customer-match list teaches Meta exactly who your real buyers are so it can hunt down their lookalikes.
