YouTube, PMax, and
everything in between.

Performance Max is Google’s most powerful — and most misunderstood — campaign type. It requires the right asset inputs and audience signals to perform. We build it correctly from day one.

01

YouTube pre-roll & in-feed

Video ads that play before or alongside relevant YouTube content. We target by audience interest, search history, and remarketing lists — reaching people when they’re engaged and receptive.

02

Performance Max setup

PMax asset groups built per service and audience segment. Headlines, descriptions, images, and video assets supplied or created. The campaign structure that tells Google’s AI exactly what you’re selling and who to find.

03

Audience signal strategy

PMax performs based on the signals you feed it. We build audience lists from your best customers, website visitors, and search history so Google targets look-alike audiences rather than guessing.

04

Remarketing sequences

People who visited your site, watched your video, or engaged with a previous ad get followed with relevant content across YouTube, Display, Gmail, and Maps — staying top-of-mind until they’re ready to book.

05

Asset creation & testing

Ad creative is the variable that moves the needle most on YouTube. We write scripts, advise on production, and test multiple creative angles to find what drives the lowest cost-per-view and highest conversion rate.

06

Cross-channel frequency management

Running Search, YouTube, and PMax simultaneously means managing frequency so prospects see you consistently without ad fatigue. We coordinate across campaigns so you’re seen, not spammed.

Strategy before spend.

PMax without a clear audience signal strategy burns budget fast. We build the foundation before launching.

We map your customer segments, build audience lists, and plan the creative assets needed for PMax to perform — before anything goes live.

Asset groups configured per service, audience signals uploaded, conversion tracking connected. YouTube campaigns built with targeting aligned to your acquisition goals.

03

Optimise & expand

Monthly performance review — expanding what works across channels, adjusting creative that isn’t resonating, and layering in new audience segments as data builds.

YouTube & PMax works better
alongside these.

Each component feeds the others — PMax learns from Search conversion data, and retargeting is more effective when Meta and YouTube run in parallel.

Common questions.

What’s the difference between YouTube Ads and Performance Max?
YouTube Ads are a standalone video campaign format targeting specific audiences on YouTube. Performance Max is a campaign type that runs across all of Google’s channels — including YouTube, Search, Display, Gmail, and Maps — in one campaign, using Google’s AI to allocate budget across channels based on conversion probability. We often run both simultaneously for different objectives.
Do I need a video to run YouTube Ads?
Yes — YouTube Ads require video creative. We advise on video briefs and can work with your existing footage or help you create something specifically for the campaign. For Performance Max, video is recommended but not mandatory if you have strong image and text assets.
How long does PMax take to perform well?
PMax needs conversion data to optimise — typically 30–50 conversions to exit the learning phase, which usually takes 4–6 weeks. The quality of your audience signals and asset inputs affects how fast the algorithm learns. This is exactly why we build the foundation before spending.
Can PMax cannibalise my Search campaigns?
It can if not managed correctly — PMax has priority over Search campaigns for overlapping queries. We structure your campaign portfolio to prevent this, including search theme exclusions and negative keyword lists that protect your top-performing Search campaigns.
